About Anthony Omini

The friendly IT guy your Dallas business gets to keep.

I started Cross River Tech so small businesses could have what big companies take for granted: someone who knows their systems, answers when called and takes responsibility for the result. That someone is me. I run the company, I take the calls, and I come to your office myself.

Why you deal with the owner

Most IT companies grow by adding technicians and a ticket system. That is fine for a 500-person company. For a 12-person law office or a two-chair dental practice it means explaining your setup to a stranger every time something breaks, and waiting in a queue behind bigger clients.

I built Cross River Tech the other way round. I keep the client list small enough that I know every office personally: the server in the closet, the printer that jams, the partner who works from home on Fridays. My team keeps the routine work moving, but when you call, you get me, and I already know what you are talking about. Problems get solved faster because there is no handoff, and nothing is ever "someone else's ticket".

It also keeps me honest. I do not hide behind a company name. If I say something will be done, you know exactly who is on the hook.

What I actually do

Three things make up most of my work: managed IT services for offices that want everything handled for one monthly fee; IT consulting and fractional CTO work for owners who need a senior technology person a few hours a month rather than a full-time hire; and data cabling for new construction and renovations, where I run the Cat6, build the IT room and then set up the network that runs on it.

Around those sit the jobs every small business eventually needs: hourly break/fix support with no contract, office moves and new-office setups, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, and security, backups and recovery.

Where I come from

I studied at the University of Oklahoma, which is where I got serious about troubleshooting and IT support, and I have spent over fifteen years since then working in IT across many industries and global organizations. That background is why nothing in a small office surprises me: I have seen the enterprise version of almost every problem, and I know which parts of it a ten-person company actually needs and which parts are expensive theater.

Cross River Tech is the version of that experience I always wanted to offer: personal, responsive, and focused on what your business is trying to do rather than on selling you equipment.

How I like to work

  • Remote first. Most fixes take minutes over a secure remote session. I come onsite when the problem needs hands, by appointment, anywhere in Dallas–Fort Worth.
  • Plain language. You will never get a lecture. I explain what broke, what I did and what it costs, in words you can repeat to your partner.
  • No lock-in. Managed plans are per user or per device and month to month. Hourly work is at published rates. If you are unhappy, you can leave, which is the best reason I have to keep you happy.
  • Honest scope. Cross River Tech is a small company. I do not run a 24-hour security operations center or a hundred-seat help desk, and I will tell you if a big MSP is genuinely the better fit for you.
  • Values I actually use: integrity, dependability, honesty and a habit of learning something new every week. They sound like poster words until your server is down at 6 PM on a Friday.

Who I work with

My clients are mostly professional offices across Dallas–Fort Worth: law firms, dental practices, medical practices, insurance agencies and architecture and interior design studios, plus the general run of small businesses that just want their computers to work. If you are opening a new office, moving, or replacing an IT company that stopped answering, start here.

Off the clock

When I am not in someone's server closet, I run (the occasional 5K downtown), ride my bike, follow Liverpool and the Sooners, and travel when I can. Clients tell me I am easy to talk to. I think that is because I like people at least as much as I like computers.
